What We Expect from Our Sixth Form Students

We expect our Sixth Form students to behave in a respectful and mature manner. This includes:

  • Being punctual and responsible for your own learning
  • Taking care of school property and resources
  • Participating actively in your education and extracurricular activities

Signing the Learner Agreement

When you join the Sixth Form at West Somerset College, you will be asked to sign and agree to the Learner Agreement. This agreement outlines your responsibilities as a Sixth Form student and outlines what you can expect from us.

Guidelines for Smart Casual Wear

We encourage students to express their individuality while maintaining a professional and safe environment at West Somerset College Sixth Form.

  • No excessively ripped, short or tight clothing
  • No strappy tops or exposed midriffs
  • No flip flops
  • No clothing with offensive logos
  • No hats or hoods up indoors (for safeguarding and identification purposes)

Acceptable and Unacceptable Clothing Examples

Please refer to the above guidelines to ensure you are appropriately dressed for college. If your clothing does not meet our expectations, the college reserves the right to ask you to change.
